Our purpose
Rocket Hope Foundation honors Bill "Rocket" Anslow - beloved husband, father, Pop Pop, son, brother, and friend.
Bill lived life to the fullest. He was an avid NY Rangers and NY Yankees fan, he loved gardening and nature, cherished his dogs, and most importantly loved his family and friends. His kindness and generosity was a gift to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and he is missed beyond measure.
In 2023, Bill began noticing difficulties with his balance. He eventually agreed to explore the cause. Many long hours in the ER and a misdiagnosis later, we received life-altering news: Bill had a tumor in his brain. The following days were a nightmare of rapid quality of life decline, terrifying surgeries, and even more terrifying unknowns. Through it all, his strength, bravery, and ability to lift others never wavered. Before we could process his diagnosis, just two weeks after that initial ER visit, we lost him at 62 years young. We are devastated and miss him every day.
Bill had a gift of bringing light and levity to any situation. To honor his legacy, Rocket Hope Foundation was born to help other families facing similar challenges. Our dad never gave up on anything, and neither will we. With the generous support of our donors, Rocket Hope Foundation is on a mission to fund improved treatments and outcomes for this horrible disease.
Let's rock it for Rocket!
